Outdoor Activities is a Nordplus Junior project of 5 Nordic and Baltic countries on outdoor activities in close contact to the environment. The project started August 1st 2011 and got funding for one year.
Participating schools are: Ribe Katedralskolen, Denmark, Paide Gymnasium, Estonia, Saldus Gimnazija, Latvia, Gångsätra Gymnasium, Sweden and Fjölbrautaskólinn við Ármúla, Iceland, which is coordinating school.
First meeting was at Ribe Katedralskolen, Denmark, October 2nd-8th 2011.
From each country 2 teachers and 8 students attended the meeting. Students stayed with guest parents for the time of the meeting and attended classes with together with the Danish students. Excursions by bus, bicycle and by foot were organized to get to know the wild fauna and flora of the North Sea coast, the heatherlands of Jutland and natural forest.

Second meeting took place at Paide Gymnasium, Estonia, April 15th-21st 2012.
The cooperation of the participating schools is successful and the the application for another year from August 1st 2012 to July 31st 13 was approved. The first meeting in the second year was held in Iceland from September 25th to October 1st. The program included hiking in the Vatnajökull National Park. The next meeting will be in Sweden February 3rd-9th and are 8 students from our school going to participate. From Stockholm the group will go to Abisko Mountain Station, situated in a National Park in the most northern part of Swedish Lapland – 250 km north of the Arctic Circle.
